What our expert says

No visit to Australia is complete without seeing Sydney, in my view the most beautiful city in the world. View Sydney from a harbour cruise it is a great way to appreciate this city or take a helicopter trip over it! Don't forget to stay in Sydney for at least three days and move onto The Blue Mountains for a night or more or alternatively soak up the great wine route they are both only a couple of hours away and well worth visiting to marvel at the outback, the dramatic scenery and if you are lucky see the Kangaroos.
You simply have to get out to the Great Barrier Reef, this is at least two hours off the coast of Australia. You can stay on one of the many islands and I would recommend the fantastic Whitsundays or alternatively stay in Cairns. Once on the Reef take a helicopter ride over it from your Base wave piercer boat and you can really marvel at it's beauty. The marine life is stunning. Peter Buckell - Norwich - 01603 41 22 88.

About Australia
Australian Coastal Lifestyle is more than just the beach, surfing and the strip of sand. The coast is a place where family and friends can meet, a place where you can watch a film, play a game of cricket or volleyball, throw a Frisbee or have a picnic.
With nine Coastal World Heritage Areas, Australia offers the traveller one of the most diverse, least-crowded and unspoilt coastal experiences in the world. The beaches and oceans offer the traveller the chance to encounter flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world.
Travellers can enjoy the hinterland visiting quaint villages, and dine in stunning restaurants and cafes or simply eat al fresco sampling local food and wine produce.
Australia’s major cities can show you the Australian way of life and culture and are where the majority of Australians live. Experience Seekers can enjoy contemporary outdoor lifestyle; they can see Australia in our architecture, experience it in our multicultural precincts, shops, theatres and bars, watch it in the people, taste it in our food or smell it in the oceans or bushland. Australia has a young, free-spirited and uninhibited culture. It’s also about fashion; celebrities; sporting heroes and the love of the outdoors.
