Arizona overview
Arizona is home to a variety of contrasting landscapes and dramatic scenery and offers something for everyone. In Arizona you can experience one of the most outstanding natural spectacles on earth, the Grand Canyon. Attracting over five million visitors each year, it truly is a sight to behold. Varying from four to eighteen miles wide, over one mile deep and with magnificent contrasting shapes and colours, no photograph can match seeing this in the flesh. You can choose to stay inside the park or just outside, in the small town of Tusayan. From the Grand Canyon take a visit to the historical Route 66 town of Flagstaff, which still retains much of its Wild West charm and heritage in its lively downtown area, or head to Page and behold stunning Lake Powell, the second-largest man-made lake in the USA and a favourite of watersport enthusiasts.
